Would definitely work just need to seal with food safe resin/epoxy, only problem is pla tends to get very soft once you're close to 50°c so would be like trying to hold a thin paper cup about to rip if you put anything boiling in!

shame , its an uncomfortable feeling , been there myself , done a deal on a mig welder offered for sale only to be told later a "relative" had bought it ! but we all have these sort of things fall through eh , onwards and upwards .

We stopped and loaded them into the van and drove off. After about 15 miles, my mate said "I bet they were their ramp for a wheelbarrow". I turned round to take them back, but when we got back, the skip had gone.

Nah - only joking, sounds like you had a bargain there.
If you're on flat floor, you'll probably be OK, but even just some wedges that you can back out a few inches at a time as the load moves would be adequate. Alternatively, rope it to something heavy and immobile in the opposite direction.
Once it starts running away, your instinct will be to try stop it but downhill of a heavy thing chasing you is an incredibly dangerous place to be.

Four proto-axle stands.
Otherwise known as Grade 12.9, M39×4 allthread and matching nuts.
I have all the other bits needed to make me some of these:
I am sick of not being able to get things dead level on stands, and want more working height.
The base is a 460mm inscribed circle, and the max height is 1000mm, this is about in line with the form factor of commercial stands for topple resistance... I can't see me using a full meter under a vehicle very often anyway.
Hand calculation suggests the design is good for about 6.8 tonnes at a ×2.5 safety factor, and I only need 3 so I have a substantial safety factor of ×6.45
I am trying to run a buckling simulation with NX Nastran, to understand if it's impacted in any unusual ways by sideways loads (other than toppling) but it's been a really long time since I did any FEA, and the Z-Book is perhaps a little long in the tooth for this.
I had this problem recently. I had four large axle stands, and then used scissor jacks under the centre posts and screwed those up until everything was nice and level, and that where they've stayed.
Worked a treat.

7,50 euro surely worth paying for the beta 142 only but I've essentially paid 2,50 for each spanner
Another 7,50 euro so less than 0.80 per tap
I most likely already have them all except for the 1" one but I'm not sure if it's NPT or BSPT
Beta PIN punch set paid 15 euro
Other punch in Wich most likely there's also the missing one from the set above
Those are supposed to be modified for thread removals

Buying a completely rusted car with mechanical problems is never a good idea.
I did and found out the hard way I've been scammed and once you discover you have paid for it, when they should have been paying you just to take it ....
It hits even harder.
When I've got my 126p I was hype, very excited to finally get my dream project car that I've not even tried to start it.
Off course I've seen the external panels having rust holes etc but I didn't worry about as they are easily available.
What I've not seriously take on consideration was paint .
Yes paint, because when I've got a chance to start doing something on it I've discovered they filled holes and rebuild critical structural frame components using concrete tiles little bit of bondo and finally painted on it.
That's how I've thrown a lot of money in the trash
500 euro for the car, 250 for documents, other 200 for another engine once discovered it thrown a connecting rod
Plus other bits I've bought for it when I was still thinking I could have saved it .
Unfortunately it's registered at my name, and despite all the above, if I manage to get the shed installed I'll try to do my best attempting to make it meet the roads again.
But I already know it will take more than what I'd pay not for 1 but 2 fully working and rust free 126's
