Just remember chains are no good at pushing. Make sure you've got a method to stop it in case it gets a gallop on once you've got it moving!Milling machine is 750kg and I'll use rollers beneath

Boring head is a seriously nice find. Looks like a 50 taper so possibly not too useful to most hobbyist, but I believe the shank is replaceable on some models.
What is it?Additional to the above.
One of the nice workers asked me over to the office.
Gave me this.

Aka someone offered him more and he is just waiting to see if they view the carI am trying to aquire a Mercedes 190 Cosworth. After seeing the car on Saturday and agreeing the sellers asking price that I'd take it, he then said he isnt sure if he is selling it and will come back to me![]()

What do you suggest?Just remember chains are no good at pushing. Make sure you've got a method to stop it in case it gets a gallop on once you've got it moving!
Not even our bigger machines at work use iso 50 at work.Boring head is a seriously nice find. Looks like a 50 taper so possibly not too useful to most hobbyist, but I believe the shank is replaceable on some models.
Would definitely work just need to seal with food safe resin/epoxy, only problem is pla tends to get very soft once you're close to 50°c so would be like trying to hold a thin paper cup about to rip if you put anything boiling in!Because otherwise it would have been great for cups or glasses.
Having the thermal sensitivity it would have been pretty cool
shame , its an uncomfortable feeling , been there myself , done a deal on a mig welder offered for sale only to be told later a "relative" had bought it ! but we all have these sort of things fall through eh , onwards and upwards .Well I just messaged to say my offer expires at midday tomorrow so at least now ill know by tomorrow. Aka I will move on at that point and forget about the car. If he is trying to get better £ he won't be doing it on my time!
Exactly what I was thinking. The poor bastard fixing the gangway that went back to grab a couple of bolts is going to be cursing.![]()
Ahha! I wondered who had them.Exactly what I was thinking.
Rather like the time I was out in the van with a colleague. Spotted a couple of new scaffold boards on top of a skipful of stuff at the side of the road. We stopped and loaded them into the van and drove off. After about 15 miles, my mate said "I bet they were their ramp for a wheelbarrow". I turned round to take them back, but when we got back, the skip had gone.![]()
If you're on flat floor, you'll probably be OK, but even just some wedges that you can back out a few inches at a time as the load moves would be adequate. Alternatively, rope it to something heavy and immobile in the opposite direction. What do you suggest?
My idea was laying down some sheets because it's actually on ground right now.
Lift it up little bit to put 12mm at the most round bars (so it's not able to tilt), put a belt at the lowest of the column and slowly moving it using the lever hoist.
Almost on flat slightly uphill then once on concrete using a pry bar
