Today, I acquired the knowledge that a previous Colchester Student compound slide could be planed down on its top face to produce the correct centre height for mounting a Holdridge 4D radii-cutter very securely. I really, really love my shaper right now.....

my 20 year old, £50 halfords basic cabinet (was on offer £50 for the top and bottom halves) has long since fallen apart. i finally got fed up enough to replace the lower half. i intend to buy the mid and upper, but not at the moment.

And no unlike the ptfe washers I didn't manual count them I got the scales out and weighed out batches of 100 being each is exactly 2.42g!

Today I was handed possibly the most pointless adjustable spanners I've come across in my line of work however they will do just fine in my tool box at home! Who needs a 31/42mm opening spanner thats so short it couldnt possibly be used to actually undo a nut/bot that size!

Would work very well on things like gas regulators for bottles etc too.

I thought that might be what they are for. Not really a lot of use to me as my Lab doesn't need that much work on his nails I think I'll give them away to anyone who has a proper use for them.
