One annoying thing about the boxes is that they don't have a latch/lock when the drawer is closed. On most toolboxes, the drawers latch a little when they are fully closed preventing the drawers from accidentally opening.
I ordered some magnets which I plan to stick on the back of the drawers to see if that will cure the problem.

Running a strip of wood along and under the front edge of the boxes to tilt the drawers up a few degrees would also be an easy solution to prevent the drawers sliding forward.

I have a Stamos 250A stick and I'm very happy with it.
Bought in 2018 it keeps going strong.
Although I've tried to access to expondo with no luck, I thought they just failed and disappeared

I got some Vevor-branded drill dispenser/tap dispenser boxes from eBay to sort my taps and dies a little.

While my taps and dies were sorted by type - UNC, UNF, Metric, Metric fine, etc.- it still took a while to find the correct size.

The three boxes came as a bundle for around £94 delivered.

They are stackable, but nothing is holding them together and they can potentially slide off each other.

I am thinking of drilling a few holes and using small screws and nuts to make them a solid unit.

I messaged them via Amazon to start with regarding the damage, then they emailed me (emails in petty good English maybe not German standards, but far better than Chinessiem), seemed to have good customer service fairly fast answers, considering they appear to be based in Poland or their warehouse is at least.....

If it uses p80 torch, there are different shrouds and nozzle available to better suit drag cutting, CNC cutting, plasma gouging

I do have a P80 torch on my R-Tech 50 cutter so will be using these as well for the Stamos, any other types of recommended nozzle cover for cnc use I'm willing to investigate....

An R Tech HF50 fitted with a replacement P80 torch will happily cut 22m, 24mm with care and 25mm with extreme care.

I upgraded to the Stamos for a bit more cutting capacity, but the real reason is as I understand for a cnc plasma table a pilot arc start is perferable to HF (?), which isn't good for the control computer.so I've been told...... .

Plus it was on a reduced price offer as well, which was a smoking deal....

Then a 20% damage discount....

Talking of bandsaws, something a bit more manageable than the ok 36" Robinson re-saw I used to run turned up in the mail this morning:


Breaking the cardinal rule of power tools by having more than one battery system in the workshop, but it was going spare so it seemed churlish not to accept it.

Have ordered a Hikoki-Makita battery converter for convenience, But...

I also picked up a Hikoki charger, I'm in the market for a ¾" battery impact, and the Hikoki WR36DFQ4 is just way better value for money than the Makita DTW1001, which are both more powerful than the Milwaukee equivalent.

Must be one of the original batch as they were not Hitachi very long after they launched those before they rebranded.
Great little saws, I use mine a lot especially handy for swift cuts on pipe, angle and box.

The Milwaukee blades fit, but they are a bit rubbish and tend to fracture before they wear out so I'd skip those.
It also likes to collect chips, so I give it a good shake after a couple of cuts and open up the lid and brush it out every so often.

I don't have any need/justification for the high torque impacts, but I found their mid torque (WR36DE) is very capable.
They don't always have the biggest numbers, I think Makita and Milwaukee usually have beefier ones, but for what you get for the money they are pretty good and well thought out.
I just wish they had better availability/stock and promotions. On the other hand, my wallets glad they don’t.

Not today but actually last Sunday but only just got around to photoing them. A box of Sykes Pickavant pullers of all shapes and sizes and including two hydraulic units. None seem to have been used very much. Also a King Dick 1/2" drive A.F. socket set. Again doesn't look to have seen much use and some sockets are virginal. Both given to me by a good mate who is starting a major downsizing exercise which he reckons will take him 2 years to get through due to the quantity of stuff that he has.

If anyones interested, I have finally located the missing spare plasma tips. I had decanted the broken on arrival box, into the tool draws above the lathe. Its about a month since I had access to that part of the shed.
