They are a great little bike, we have a pair and have done miles on them !

Good to know. Hope you have many more miles on them too.

I'm surprised how comfortable it is to use. My only complaint is that the handle bars are a little on the low side for me.

Another freebie - Yesterday morning I got this nice little Clarke compressor. It's working, but in need of some TLC - The valve for draining the water is missing so it couldn't build up pressure, I put my finger over the hole and watched the needle rise in the gauge. The paint is peeling off one end of the tank so that will need to be taken care of as well.

The airline is damaged and will be replaced. I assume the nail gun is working, but didn't have the means to test it. From searching online these tools seem to have been sold as a bundle.

Got put into use straight away collecting sand cement and gravel for the weekend project

I hope you have somewhere secure to store the trailer, or some serious security ideas. A lot of people would like that, and some in particular would happily take it off you hands for 100% less than you paid for if.

A new satnav for the wagon, and a sexy glass cutter:




Glass cutter is needed for repairs to the greenhouse. Heavy duty, knurled handle, c/w a bottle of lubricating oil for the cutter, and it has just the right feel about it. Looking forward to (not...) having a smashing time with it . Could turn out to be a right pane...

Needed a new satnav as my old one recently died, and Google Maps isn't ideal for trucks...Ordered it on Thursday and it was delivered yesterday, so maximum points for Royal Mail's excellent service. About 1/3 of the price of "mainstream" truck-specific satnavs, designed and sold by a guy who drives trucks for a living. Lots of features that Google Maps doesn't have, so no more being routed down 7.5 ton weight limits or under low bridges . And hopefully it has the same seductive girlie voice as my old one .

Cutting glass is a nervous thing to do.

A few tips from someone who has tried, failed and succeeded.

Get a flat surface, clean of dirt. Big enough to lay the largest sheet of glass on it.
Lay a blanket on it and secure it, fixing from underneath.

Get a suitable container to take off cuts.


Work out how to cut the shape, with minimum of cuts.

Using a White board marker, draw your lines.

Lubricate the cutter.
Start off the edge, following your lines, keep and even pressure to the end. Roll of the end. Don't be tempted to re cut or go back.

Lift up the glass and tap from underneath. Gentle firm taps, you will see the crack spreading away from you. Keep going until the other edge. But be prepared that it can suddenly go.

Smaller off cuts, place over a 3mm thick of wood. With gloves, firm pressure and press. It will let go with a suitable crack.

Even thinner, pliers can be used to nibble.

Edges can be dressed back with a oil stone, emery cloth.

It is a fun thing to do.

green house glass is normaly quite cheap our local farm place sell them thing last time i bought some was £3 a piece was a few years ago

and keep an eye on face book there are quite a few people trying to get rid of green houses getvthe thing free take the glass you want scrap the metal

Yes, most people don't realize that. Its constantly flowing, only at microscopic increments over extremely long period of time.
