Mated together and prepared the new drivetrain for posting into the 90 in place of the knackered original 19J engine & LT77 box with worn splines to transfer case. Its a refreshed 200tdi with new seals/cambelt etc, 19J bellhousing drilled and tapped with extra studs to match the 200tdi, unworn LT77 12J gearbox & a discovery transfer case that has slightly higher ratio lowering cruise rpm on long trips. I have a 12J low ratio transfer case that can go on if I decide I need the lower ratio to tow heavy things or the original 19j ratio transfer case for a middle ground, either of which should be a easy task to swap over in the car (famous last words...)
Lots of work to go, but extremely theraputic to be freeing up storage space.

Fixed some shelves in a locker for Mrs Robo to use at the stables, my OCD couldn't cope with the shelf spacing but that's what she wanted. The offcuts of wood pile wins again.

Light switches (and, now I think of it, overhead crane traverses) in the two shops of the place I used to work at were labelled EAST and WEST followed by bay numbers.

Problem was, (especially the first few times on the crane) EAST in one shop, was WEST in the other, and viki-verki . . .

I bought this cheap bike holder and when I opened the package there was only one of those support arms in it. I should have gone back and asked for a replacement or just the arm. But the store is some 30km away and I needed to use the bike rack like this evening. So I found a pipe, some square tubing in the scrap heap. Some cutting, deburring, welding and a coat of paint and it works well enough, found some foam I taped around it as well.

Small job last night.... swap out the bath water trap as it started to leak with age.
As soon as I moved through pipe a fraction to get it apart... there was a "crack" & the 1.25" to 1.5" Tee in the pipe where the sink waste connects - snapped off. Dammit. It was brittle as hell & zero flexibility.... & I had no materials.
Cue a run to B&Q or have no sink, shower or bath operational.
Spent about an hour rummaging about trying to cobble together parts awkwardly as their stock was poor, & the push fit 40mm stuff didn't fit the 1.5" existing bath waste pipe etc etc.
Overall a simple 15-min job turned into an epic to the tune of £50 & a lot of cursing.

I hate plumbing.

I bought a mountain bike in Makro and when we got it out to the car my sister asked how was I bringing it home.
2 adults, 2 kids in an Astra hatchback with home 80 miles away!

Had to go back in and buy a bike carrier to get it home and it was never used again!

i just doubled the available CFM of my compressor

took the incorrect (my bad) 1500rpm motor off the compressor and fitted the 3hp 3000 rpm motor that was kindly donated by timgunn1962. for farts and laughter, i left the much bigger than standard pulley on expecting it to struggle to pump at high rpm, but nope, it pumped all the way up to 120psi and restarted fine when bled down.

should improve the sand blasting experience somewhat...
