Bought this today, the electronic drum kit is fine but sometimes you just need to beat the bejeesus out of something, so an acoustic kit was called upon.
The seller mentioned the bass drum pedal was faulty. The beater wouldn't stay put in the pedal. So he had wrapped the offending interface between beater and pedal in a mixture of elastoplast, gaffer tape and sellotape.
Two minutes later, tape removed, ascertained that one bolt was missing and an allen grub screw was loose.
Now sorted, worst bit was removing the old adhesive. If it shakes loose I'll drop some thread locker on the threads.

Got two new tyres on to a set of steelies for the Pensioners' Car.
I had the fronts balanced about six months ago and everything was fine for a while but the wibbley thump came back. I discovered a bent alloy, so went and bought four steelies for the long term. I'll use the best of the alloys on the rear and the two steelies on the front until the rears wear out (nearly new tyres on them, so not throwing them away).
I took the bent alloy as a warning they must be a bit on the weak side, and I don't trust them any more.
