It’s amazing how a short time putting some paint on looks like a massive amount of progress especially after countless hours of cutting and welding looks like hardly any progress. Keep up the good work

I know we’ve discussed this earlier so not starting that up again, but I still feel nervous seeing a car so high. That said I’ve followed this thread from the start and am highly impressed by the standard of work. The results are amazing. Well done mate, enjoy some happy days ahead driving the Jag.

When the car was up on the stands (made to support 18 ton lorries) it was as solid as a rock, more worried about my under spec concrete floor! at the moment it is hung way away from the single post using extra tubes on my Chinese car lift, that does feel a bit dodgy, but it means I can open all the doors fully,

All brake and fuel lines made and fitted, front lights working, waiting for LED round stop tail lamps to replace the lower reflectors n the rear lamps, waiting for the ebay five relay 10 fuse board to replace the two fuses one relay original,

Fitting up the doors this week, one door handle per day! also machined up some Ebay 50mm led stop / tail lamps that turned out to be 58mm, got a full refund, then popped one into the lathe and took it down to 52mm and then hand ground a few bits, held in with the original reflector brackets, gives me twice the area of rear lamps, will be looking at adding a white but lights red led to the reverse lamp as a high level brake lamp,

I think these will reflect quite well, but may stick one each side of the number plate, number will be 2976 PG so a recangular one each side of the PG would not look out of place, I will assess it when on the road, MOT exempt but I do like to be visable on the road, especially with these "smart" motorways.....................

Engine fitted today, for good I hope, pas pump and alternator fitted, will bleed clutch tomorrow and check operation before I go too far, now I need to cut those bits of angle iron off of my pallet truck!

Yeah but sometimes its more than flesh and blood can stand. Some old fart dawdling along at 40 miles an hour. Anyway the guy in the rapier gave him a two fingered salute.
