Yes Myles. Seen that. I think it was a no expense spared BMW resto. By BMW themselves............Not as good as mine obviously !! ahem !! ;-)

The only thing that bugs the Flip flop outta me on this video, is all the polyester in the spraybooth !!!!!

So, forgive my ignorance, what is the issue with polyester? Is it a static electricity thing?

No. I just thought it daft how they were wiping the car down wearing polyester jumpers, which were probably shedding fibres back over they body as the moved around !!

But the end result proves me wron anyway. I just don't like polyester jumpers ;-)

I just got a pic of one of the wheels, I'm having refurbed and WOW. They look amazing.

I opted for a Bronze rather than Gold, as I didn't want a popping sparkly colour, also matt lacquer, since I think this looks better on diamond cut finish.

Cheers guys. The car will be Granada Red.

I did fancy black, but have decided to go with the original colour

No mate. I thought about it and I thought about a vinyl one, but it'll be Red.

    HAPPY XMAS

Just about ready to start rebuilding the front subframe now. I just want to quickly go over the steering box and idler and will get it done over the holiday period. The shell is booked in for paint in mid Jan, so I want it 'rolling' with a handbrake at the least, to transport it.

Just watched that vid, it gives the impression that there is a serious shortage of grease (Bolts wheel bearings etc)wherever it was made, unless its a dry build.

Yeh. I don't think that video gives you ALL the details, it looks highly edited. It's just an overview of the work involved, I think.

If they had asked me, I could have made a much more realistic unedited 10 000hr long version !!!!

Bought a set of new wheel nuts, so I just had to see how the new wheels looked. Hoping to get the front subframe mounted this weekend. wheelfit2.jpg
