Popped into the workshop today and cut the bars to replace the T-nuts.
I just pierced the 5 holes which I then drilled with a 6.8mm drill on the pillar drill and tapped them out with a spiral tap in the hand drill.
Much better than the T-nuts and have a bit of slop so I can adjust the position of the plate.
