But I wonder how Mr Plod will react to it being driven on the highway and on the pavement under false number plates

It's Huey so Tax and MoT exempt for highway use. Your eyes are playing tricks with your sense of scale.

It's a 4mph Mobility Scooter so legal for use on the pavement. The presence of passengers is just a trick of the light exacerbated by your previously demonstrated poor eyesight.

Just came across this thread after idly searching 'Toylander' having seen a YouTube video.
I'd thought about making one when my kids were small but like everyone else life got in the way and my boys are now 22 and 17 (youngest on L plates now).
I'd still like to do one of these builds, maybe in years to come for grandchildren. They do look fantastic and I'm sure would easily sell once kids outgrow them.

I enjoyed making mine, but the kids were already outgrowing it by the time I finished it. The stock braking system is only good for flat land, any hills and it sails away at a rate of knots. If I did it again I would use inboard mountain bike brake discs on the rear motor drive shafts. I was planning to do that but they grew up so I sold it to bloke who lives down south and on flat ground.
