20 quid here but it's a job getting nice stuff, normally it's lumpy old sh*tA few hundred would be a start…..but delivered we are about 23 quid a ton now
Initially went around it with a ball peen hammer on the tilt cylinder which I don't want to replace the head (£130+) but didn't budge so my next plan for that was to heat the head/cylinder threads section since aluminium expands more than steel and dunk it in water before hammering it again and then trying to turn it with the larger pin holes I drilled. There are better ideas
Every single one of involves an hammer
1st step disconnect the hoses
2 Remove the ram eye pin so it's possible to move the cylinder to a position Wich allows you the best lever advantage (pushing down)
3 take the up mentioned hammer and strike dead flat all around the threaded cylinder portion, works better if you use another hammer on the opposite side as anvil (that allows to break the threads contact and loosen up some oxygenation.
4 attempt to loosen the thing up
If it doesn't work repeat the hammering.
5 heat the cylinder end, cool down the aluminum gland
6 try to loosen it up (very important don't turn hot threads they'll permanently seize up
I'd say there's very little chance of cutting it off and then welding it back on straight/in-line sufficiently well to not knock out the bushes/seals in very short order.Initially went around it with a ball peen hammer on the tilt cylinder which I don't want to replace the head (£130+) but didn't budge so my next plan for that was to heat the head/cylinder threads section since aluminium expands more than steel and dunk it in water before hammering it again and then trying to turn it with the larger pin holes I drilled.

Unfortunately there's not enough material left on the lift cylinders to get a grip unless I can drill shallow pin holes besides the rod but looking at the replacement heads I would probably hit the threads first before I can get a hole big enough for the pin wrench so I think getting that hot and trying to grip what's left with a pipe wrench might work but trying with the small pipe wrench just caused chunks to fall off so I don't think I can turn it.
I'd be happy cutting the end off and rewelding it if 1. I had a mig welder that wasn't temperamental so I could trust it to hold 3000pai and 2. A way to rotate and weld since I'd have to do it in short 90° runs.

Does that include a torque screwdriverI wanted a compact kit to cover off the majority of needs for the rifle bag.
I winced a bit at the price, but it is great.

Thats a shame…a decent set and a torque screw driver and Id be orderingJust a standard screwdriver handle in that kit. The ratchet screwdriver bit holders are very good though.
