Where are you getting these little shovels from? They look handy.Micro shovels & mattocks.

Replacement heads though now I've got them in my hands for reference it's definitely not gonna be fun removing the existing..

My plan is as follows, retract the rods fully after unbolting since the last couple inches doesn't fully retract when on the arm so I don't have to worry about not scratching it significantly then drill parallel to the rod through the aluminium multiple times before sitting it in a bucket of hot caustic soda mix and trying to dissolve what remains until I can get it apart.A crazy idea, but it might work. Mark the cylinder where the threads end and carefully chop around with grinder. Dissasemble.
Attach the new heads in the threaded section, assemble, then weld it back up, the heads should ensure it stays aligned.
How good is your welding?![]()
Reminds me of the episode when Delboy paints the chinese takeaway.Got me a very nice 10-drawer bisley cabinet but not the usual A4 sized drawers - same depth but much wider. It's already in use holding all my paintng stuff like sanding sheets, discs etc. I literally dragged this out of a wheelie bin the guys were rolling towards the compactor on site.

I also got 8 gallons of floor paint but it's a wild colour - I think I might have found a colour that will make people more angry than my green mill

I got a 10kg pack of Sunlu petg from Amazon. Only £85 which is a bargain!
I get through a fair amount a month so any saving is worth having.
...but after using one of those micro shovels last week, you realise just how good the small stuff is for close quarters work.
they used to have mini spades on the army landrovers , I used to do haulage work for brookklyn engineering who dealt in them (and still do) and bought one from the storeman. usefull tool to keep in the cab.Wickes. Only went to get the shovels, again, but I thought I can't leave those mattocks behind, again.
I too, first time around, thought those mattocks would be pointless, hence why I didn't get them last time, but after using one of those micro shovels last week, you realise just how good the small stuff is for close quarters work.
test pump.. feels like holding back a fire hose...dont say it, i know the store room needs a clean and tidy... anyway...
today i aquired a big water pump. 550l/min. should make short work of filling 4x ibc's for mot time. £104 from ali express, plus £30 for 10m of suction pipe from screwfix, which interestingly is by far the cheapest outlet for reinforced 2" hose, and a set of heavy hose clamps from amazon for £7 as the wire clamps that come with it are crap, and away we gobit of oil, bit of fuel and it starts 2nd pull.
