Nice little steam engine. I gave one of my kids a "vintage" 80s text book last week (schools council - mechanisms) and he asked me for a steam engine for Christmas. I guess they are expensive nowadays.

I got my last mamod off eBay for 12 quid, fully working just a bit worn.

I search for them quite often, there are bargains to be had. My Mrs gets them into the shop occasionally and they can't sell for more than 3 quid so if any come in I'll grab them although they are few and far between

I recently bought a really old German vertical steam engine with fan, grinding wheel, polishing mop and something else I can't recall now. It has a chrome plated chamber which was originally connected to the side of it, but had broken off. Perceived wisdom says this is a lubricant injector, but I confess I dunno. Once I get some silver solder I plan to re attach it and do some steaming!

Bought a decent sized tool cabinet. I'm very pleased with this because it's big enough to hold all of my milling and lathe tooling plus it provides a sturdy platform to mount all the exchangeable heads and tables all in one place.

The guy said he'd had loads of interest including people wanting to come and get it at 11pm last night but fair play to him I was the first to say I'd have it and he stuck by his word.

It's big, 700x700 and over 1m tall.
