Prime day has been a bit rubbish, anything decent about others have found?
Very nice, quite punchy but I do like the look of those Wera onesJust ordered this in the Prime day. it's been in my list for while so why not.

I couldn't find anything much on Prime to splurge on but I did notice that Screwfix have the Dewalt toolbox boxes reduced. I have a few of these and they are good value for money at £18.50.
People want more than that for beat up ones on FB
screwfix had these on offer begining of this year for about the same price...i bought 6. Not to be confused by another stanley box but cheaper made and not a patch on the fatmax.View attachment 515487
Cant say its a deal that lights the world on fire, often found for 16-17 quid on offer - but I usually pick a couple of these up when I can
This vice is huge.Wera screwdrivers and hand tools are great. I have the cutey little ratchet set that takes hex screwdriver bits too, and its saved my bacon undoing things in unfeasibly tight places inside engine bays and machines although I bought it to do electronics stuff!
I have been unloading, probably my last big gypo pickup collection this year the way things are going budget wise. There's also the posibility of it getting expensive as my mrs will probably divorce me if I get anything else for her to shift when I'm dead...
Another precision vice, but this one too big to pick up and lift off a pickup bed so forklift for added drama. Needs a fettle but it was 40 quid so be rude not to.
As to why I'm attracted to precision vices the size of mars its because I have a cincinatti arrow machining centre, and for years now have just been fixturing everything on a surface plate or the bed because they were a small mortgage to buy new...

Also life is about having vices and enjoying them right? This might create some division in some circles
The dividing head is a monster and doesnt feel like it has a lot of play in the worm, although I think I'll need a small pulley system to get it on the bed and off.

For the age old question of how to get a surface plate out/off a vehicle, cheat and use a forklift.
The seller had a much smaller cast iron plate that I had my eye on, but it had sold when I was driving there,
but it was ready for collection sat on this, and I told him I thought the granite plate was lovely & pity it wasnt for sale.
But he said he was sick of people haggling and not turning up, he's got the point when he just wanted everything gone hassle free so he can retire.
And there I was, empty suitable vehicle, turned up on time no drama, and a machine tool pervert.

Lastly a little forklift bin for swarf handling. I dont machine through enough stuff to make sufficient swarf to justify having anything larger than a big metal dustbin though.
But I'll probably use it in a million different wrong ways. It wheels round on its casters easily so even as a workshop trolly its handy.
Theres a unlock pin to pull and then pull the lever and it tips forward on the pivot to tip with the forklift mast tip helping the tip.
I dont have a dumper, so it saves buying one for round the yard
