link please? i need a new one for work, the one i have has gotten water damaged but as its not a requirement for my role, i cant get a fancy one out of them but they are very handy to have to prove that either a lift plan is wrong/not feasible, or that i am infact 100% in the correct place and following the lift plan, but the AP cant count and now the crane wont reach.

Price has gone back up, I paid £30 for it as they had some vouchers. You can get the red laser version for about that on Amazon.
I don't know how well they will work out doors. For that you really want the ones with a camera on so you can see where you are targeting.
For my purposes it is mostly indoors and I'm usually trying to gauge approximate distances so ballpark is more that good enough.

we only ever use the laser ones, our APs all have them as do some of the supervisors...granted their ones cost a lot more, but the last one i had was red laser and worked fine for me

Picked up TecArc SGS 360 Spool Gun MIG Torch because I couldn't resist at the price, unfortunately I don't have a modern MIG welder yet so unable to test it welding wise however do have a power supply so I can confirm it's still feeding etc if I can figure out where to put the power.

If I'm understanding it correctly since it's an inline plug and play device rated 15-60v dc rated and has a connection on the inline control box that is to be connected to ground then if I put the negative on that and positive on the euro connector and give it some volts it should start feeding as if you've squeezed the trigger unless anyone knows better?
