I gave up riding after the Morini. I would go for a ride then on my return I would be relieved I hadn't killed myself or been killed by a humpty. It was in the dining room for a few years then my three year old started stuffing batteries and Lego up the exhausts. Sold it to WeeVee, a Morini specialist.Kick over a few times with the choke and fuel on, then turn on the ignition, and boot it.
Cold start fuelling issues are always fun....
Anyway, the 500s are streets better than the 350s, which are a bit pansy....
My CrapOldToyota had a vacuum pump at the rear of the alternator. The alternator went toes-up and I couldn't find another so was about to fit an ordinary one with a Volvo electric vacuum pump plumbed into the system seperately. Just then, another alternator turned up.Vacuum pump, a lot of diesels have them, the modern stuff Have electric vacuum pumps I think
Nice! Thats wat I get issued to use at my work now. The recording function is useful every so often for me but I'd much prefer the old 87V we used to get previously.I got a new toy for checking whether or not batteries are charged.
Fluke 287 Data logging multimeter. There's nothing wrong with my 87v (Or my Fluke 10 for that matter) but I saw it going cheap and couldn't resist.

Came with a bag, probes (Bent as usual), the thermocouple and an opto-isolated USB cable! Not bad for less than 200 quid.
Definitely not designed for it with the overhang but fits nicely, certainly quicker than the standard! Surprisingly they all sit at different angles like 1-2° off so I've had to align the post so that it's in the average but it's not like this is a precision lathe lol.Well that was quick for my quick change toolpost only ordered on Sunday at midnightfrom £90+ to £22!

I had a huge basket of arc stuff in the closing sale, a lot of collets and such, but didn't hit go because even being cheap, I always suspected the quality wasn't up to it. I'm disappointed for you, but feel vindicated that I didn't buy a load of stuff I'd never use because it wasn't up to snuff if your tool post is indicative of the general standard.Definitely not designed for it with the overhang but fits nicely, certainly quicker than the standard! Arc stuff was always good quality, Ketan had lots of contacts and had things made to their spec. Not sure what you mean by the toolpost? It's more that @Bki26 ordered one that's a bit big for his lathe. I placed 3 separate orders and everything was good quality.I had a huge basket of arc stuff in the closing sale, a lot of collets and such, but didn't hit go because even being cheap, I always suspected the quality wasn't up to it. In the interests of balance, I've had some appalling quality and also just plain wrong stuff from Zoro in the past too where even after 3 replacements, it was still rubbish so they refunded me.
Its only a little big however that's not the issue, with the toolpost locked down each holder is at a different angle when clamped. I set it up perpendicular to the chuck and when I checked each holder they all sat a few degrees off in + and - against the 90°Arc stuff was always good quality, Ketan had lots of contacts and had things made to their spec. Retirement is the best way to reduce tool bag weight! All in the name of dropping weight out my tool bag at work my new Adjustable spanner turned up. Another 200g gone! Feels really good quality too. I was expecting it to be a bit flimsy but clearly all the weight has come out the handle as the jaws are really well made with zero play in them at all.
I'm now struggling to get any more weight out of the bag! Running out of tools! What I really want to do is ditch the massive multimeter they issue us and go back to my old Fluke 87! probably half the weight of my current one!
