Mud flaps for my new car (VW Golf) and some whippet / greyhound tea towels. And, not that I can remember buying, a similarly themed doormat...
Additionally, I treated myself to some really, really nice wee 'once in a lifetime purchase' binoculars; Leica Trinovid 8 x 20 BCA. I can't believe how small they are - yet so clear.

We walked the dogs on a local beach on Saturday and there were seals in the water and, once again, I thought if only I had binoculars... did plenty of research and it happened that a local country and gun store has the best prices in the UK, so a few days I popped over after work and got to test three - these were the winners.

Her turn. What does your spouse call it when she buys 14 pairs of shoes?
The Leica will hold their value better than Zeiss - in fact I'd say the leica backup is now better than Zeiss too if ever needed.I recall you saying a while ago - you also recommended the Nikon Prostaff several years ago and I bought a pair!

At the country store I was able to spend time with these three, with the window open and a clear view across to the hills. I'd probably have been happy with the Chinese made Zeiss Terra but the Portugal made Leica's are just sublime to hold and I saw no need to spend only slightly more on the 10x25's.
I’d forget, can you remind me somehow, not for another month,as all machines are topped up.@nickk please let me know how you get on with the cutting oil. The 5L of Silkolene I bought when Dalton & Co had a site in Belper are nearly gone!
