You can easily make a collet chuck for them.17x worth their weight in gold collets (pratt burnerd I believe) for £100, can't believe nobody bid on them
Friend thinks he has a suitable chuck somewhere in his collection so grabbed them mostly for him but if he doesn't then here/ebay they go!
*edit - one has EE8 on it so I'm guessing it's an EE series unless anyone knows anything more about them.

Essentially a cylinder with an inside taper and threaded end of a big custom nut that pushes against the collets

Absolutely no idea, was the only one in the auction I could afford/transport (well I could have bought a 1000hp nimbus but parents would disown me). It's mostly complete but missing enough it won't run but can definitely be used for parts or mancave decorations

I admire your ambition (balls) for buying a small incomplete jet engine, awesome, just work out what your missing, how you're going to make it, and get it running.

I could probably get it running if I had the connection shaft and the other half of the compressor housing (and probably a new compressor section as its toast) but the time it'll take its easier to sell it on for someone to have as a display piece etc or strip for parts as I should be able to mount the 2nd freepower turbine assembly I got to my diy turbo engine for about 90hp to put in a go-kart etc.
The compressor assembly sounds great when you flick the blades, might have to mount it in an acrylic tube and feed marbles down it like this

Took some getting going but once you got it up to speed and flicked the fuel on the noise was immense!!

APU in the Vulcan and the power source for the Rover-BRM racing car (amongst other things) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rover-BRM. One of these perhaps?
They used the same APU (GTC) as the C130. They also supplied the compressed air for engine starting. Pretty useful piece of kit to find on a desert strip, but you're right, bally noisy

That’s the one I know (sorry just seen you mention generator, I know the fire pump) , was generally a 2 man job to crank it up to speed (could do it alone if you had your weeties in the morning and were feeling strong!).
I think the actual engine was used on a few other things as said above, as well as in a car I believe!
