Runs at 24v but works on 12v nicely, believe it would have been mounted to cold war era jets as one is dated 1972. Might use one on my diy engine if my homemade igniter fails in the future (uses cheap Chinese taser modules charging a microwave capacitor, same as these but probably half the power) or might use it to explode some light bulbs

Got 330 slotted head shoulder bolts and matching half nuts today along with the the same amount of wire keychain cable loops and enough baggies to start a local drug business!

Also treated myself to filament vacuum bags as getting sick of the existing bags slowly refilling.

I hope too because I was essentially melting in it, just wearing the camo suit and the plate carrier was already insane.
But once put the balaclava and helmet it was infernal.

Four new Michelins for my Dodge. In exchange for a lot of pounds.

But compared to the Goodyears that were on it, new when I bought it in Houston 6 yrs ago, and still with 5mm tread, it's not just night and day, it's the middle of next week in terms of grip.

Dry road on the Goodyears, you would break traction with ease with full throttle after a gear change, up to 4th. Now - the traction control light flickers slightly and it just goes. First time I've felt confident of the grip under it. Steering feels . . ie there is some. Not Lancia or Caterham levels, but for a 2 tonne lump, not bad. It even rides better.

That also translates under braking too - the ABS isn't kicking in whereas it would do with ridiculous ease before.

Planning on finishing my setup during the summer and restart maybe in late September or early October.
Fortunately I'll be playing with other guys during the night.
Wich would be a lot of fun, having NVG and IR illumination and pointer on my gun.

In a few weeks I'm off to the Balkans on work, my host (mate) has setup some "range" play time with various hardware, looking at the forecast that will be hot also.

Seriously I can't even imagine how soldier do in middle east or in the jungle.
Now my camo was issued to the Italian army in Iraq and Afghanistan so the real deal.
Maybe hotter temperatures but not as much humidity we have in Sardinia.
But that's really not as close to reality yet.
Replicas weight the exact same (3.5kg for the AR and 1.1kg for the Beretta) but the carrier is just fabric no plates in it, the helmet just plastic, the magazines even fully loaded don't even reach half of the weight of the real steel, maybe the pistol ones do.
Plus all the other gear like frags, knife, communication devices, and a bunch of things we don't really need to carry for airsoft like ir markers etc.
I've calculated a weight limit of 15kg in total for my setup.
That's according to what said by an ex Delta Force officer on a podcast, he set the limit up to 30% of the bodyweight just for the plate carrier for the operators he was leading in combat.
I'll not reach the 30% for everything including replicas but it's insane how soldiers actually carry over 50% of their weight in equipment no matter what weather conditions

You know I'm only pulling your leg, but I couldn't resist. You're braver than me to come on here and use, as eloquently as you do, a second language.

When I was in Italy, with family (Sister-in-law lives there). When asked if I wanted a drink, I replied. Tota Destra Poi (All right then).
It caused considerable laughter as 3 of them are language/translators and are fluent in numerous languages.

Your probably looking at 25kg plus of equipment as a minimum, much more for longer patrols and hot weather carrying extra water.then you wonder why so many ex forces have knackered knees and backs.
You get used to being soaking wet with sweat then sand and dirt sticking to it to form a unique skin grinding paste where you don’t want to be rubbed raw. You really do appreciate clean kit after you’ve been stuck wearing it for weeks on end when you’ve not had chance to attend your personal admin

Tota is not a word I know honestly, but I've just searched it and Google opened a page about ancient Latin engravings
Destra translate with right (meant like turn right or on the right for example)
Poi you got it as it translates with "then"
Now
All right then literally translates as "apposto allora" but sounds a lot weird too, "si grazie" "yes thanks" was the only affermative answer TBH .
Did I already mentioned Italian is a much more complex language than English?
