Popped over the Tay to pay the palace of glittering delights that is Highland Industrial Supply a visit. The pricing there seems to be entirely random, always to my benefit!
Came away with some E6013 rods and some wee brass wire wheels... not done any ARC welding since '93 when I did a coded course when a cadet at maritime college!

HIS in Inversneckie used to be good for having two or three sales tables laid out with a mix of stuff [good reductions too], but since they reorganised their layout that seems to have gone by the board.
That said, I seldom pay ticket prices - I think the lads just adjust the price depending on who you are......

They have 2 tables just inside the front door with these reduced items on them. Always random bits and pieces..... HIS and MacGregors are my favourite shops, happy to wander around them for ages. In lieu of money owed to Mrs TYA.
I went to her friends house, spoke to the her friend and explained why I was here and her husband, Simon, owed money to MRS TYA.
I wanted it back or goods to value.
I took this Belle Mixer, as he is mid point of finishing a patio build.
He has had since March to repay the sum of £55, his wife is very understanding why I have acted the way we have.

Bought this very cheap control off fleabay, and it works.
It’s a remote control for the diesel air heater in my big shed. Took a quick google, and about 1 minute staring at the unit (as you do), and I now have the power to turn the heater on while sitting in the house.
Advantage? In the deep mid winter, I don’t have to unlock the hut to switch the heating on, and more importantly, open it to the elements just to switch it off.
Luxury or what.
Just noticed I forgot the picture.

Got some Pionér flame-resistant overalls. 20 quid off ebay, they're very nice quality too.
Then some ex-MOD old stock arc leads, i think this must be 10m, 25mm². Kemppi branded but appears identical to the Optimus branded blue ones.
And a beast 400A Murex one, 50mm² cable. This must be quite old as the Dinse plug's rubber is brittle and cracking. Cable says 1979 but that may be a part number not production date.

Do you have a court order allowing you to do that? I don't think it's unreasonable but you could find yourself on very dodgy ground, legally speaking, no matter how understanding the wife is...
