I've already swapped the receivers on the new ones.
The one I already had is in the middle
Left one needs to be wired for installing the battery in the buffer tube and a new stock .
Right one needs to be completely rebuild.
I'm going to order dinner connectors for the black ones

The tools are useless without a project though.

I've had a little play, took some copper down to about 0.3 x 4.5mm with my rolling mill, then folded it lengthways and drew it to a 1.5mm OD tube, then formed it round and tried to silver solder it.

Clearly my little butane torch isn't up to the job, well impressed with the drawplate though. Next acquisition will be an oxygen cylinder for my proper torch...

If anyone's keeping track, I've finally had a play with this torch.

Tips from 0.28 to 1.2mm should cover everything I need, the smallest is a nightmare to light though.
 



Tried to solder my little copper ring again, unfortunately as soon as the solder flowed, the copper did too! It seems there's some skill to this jewellery lark.

The gods of junk have smiled upon me once more. Local place getting auctioned off, crappy auction company listing stuff poorly. I cant believe they had listings for plastic tubs and then this lot in a set of drawers and a metal cabinet. Probably would of sold for 10 times what it did if they just took some pictures.

I would of loved to have saved the snow grinder and a lovely jig borerer. Probably get scrapped.

About 4k each iirc, I put the crates to one side months ago knowing they'd come in handy eventually.

I didn't acquire this personally, but work has just had a batch of the finest engineered VW MAN vans delivered.



And that's before we get onto the minor detail that out of the first batch of 10 across the country, the first one on the road ejected the bodybuilder fitted additional crank pulley, and 'issues' have been found with every other one that's been checked.

We had a dinner with colleagues on yesterday, this translates to "I've been forced to go in a very small and claustrophobic restaurant, eat at an unusual time for me, causing me unnecessary stress, and go out with 7 drunk boars making unpleasant noises till 3AM"
Anyways it means I'm finally on holidays, so 2 weeks of rest from my daily job.
But not from work cause it's time to try to get rid of things I can't otherwise.
It's fine cause it will releave me of a lot of stress.
So I went at Lidl on this morning, bought a metal MDF shelf, o rings, copper gaskets, flat rubber gaskets and long screwdrivers bits
