I wonder how many times you'll use these by mistake and wonder why they are not drilling!

im left handed but always use right hand drills

Of course as a birthday gift I wouldn't know what hey cost, but I was actually there when they were purchased (at the Resto Show at the NEC, and yes, I've had to wait 3 months for them!) and as I recall, not especially, £80 rings a bell. I can probably find out for sure.

I had to build a shelf to hold mine. Bearing in mind they are 1kg each, it had to be strengthened!
I buy in boxes of 4 and they soon mount up as you say

I checked this morning, they were £50. The same chap was selling them individually for between £4 and £10 each, depending on size) so I reckon that was a pretty good deal.

Just arrived. Makita DTD173.
Broke my other trying to get the galled bolt out of the winch. My other starts and stops, and I don't have time to strip and repair.
Looked at reviews and this is very favourable, and for the bargain price of £110, belt clip included.
And a free Makita bit set thrown in.
It's very nice in the hand, well-balanced and compact. The ring light is bright and luminous!

I know there are others with better spec, but I'm a Makita Slapper.
