As a child, my brother had an old Ford Thames van on our drive and our father made us push it out and back every night and morning so he could park his car in the garage. Every morning and night l was the one pumping the tyres up with a knackered Sutty pump, that Kismet Lorry was revolutionary to this small child!Do "those" pumps actually work?

A new toy for under £20! Appears to be functioning but haven't tested with a live cartridge as doesn't appear to have an internal suppressor system like the hilti dx450 I was playing with the other day so not very village friendly 
The "box" wasn't really up to the task but thankfully nothing got lost in the post and royal mail gave me a branded bag lol

People hate on royal mail but they're the only service that charges a flat rate for the whole country INCLUDING Highlands/islands/Northern Ireland, without them we'd be getting screwed over by all the other services who want to charge for every last mile.
I have my dad's old Kismet Lorry pump - it may have been his dads. Sat for decades under the bench "needs new washers" . . .
A few years ago I started to look at "new washers" having got fed up with modern foot pumps lasting no time at all.
Some ebay leather offcuts, I had a working foot pump. I lubricated with veg oil as suggested by a website on the things, and it seemed to get gummed up very quickly. I revert to motor oil - it works extremely well. Has to - other half's new car has a leaky tyre she wont have fixed, and my Dodge (big 20" wheels with fairly wide ttyres) doesn't keep all the air inside them when stoodd 6 days out of 7.
My Lorry pump has a shrader valve to use a gauge on - I've never seen another "lorry" with it, or pictures of one with it.

Following a protracted spat with Network Rail I finally acquired from them 5 tons of Ash to make up for the trees they cut down in my garden. Yesterday I again found them back in my garden, having cut down my fence (again), so I managed to get them to agree to fit about 30 metres of Pallisade fencing to make up for the damage done and the easy access to my garden they've provided to every burglar. No more brambles, a clear path and steps cut into the embankment! Gits!
