My bumpers are not very pedestrian friendly though.I have to ask, how many random chassis do you have just "kicking about??"
I have seen various photos of land rovers, kit cars, tvr.
I would like to do a full tubular chassis as if you have the facilities to notch tube then cutting brackets that wrap around wont be any harder.
Looking at @Woody.v8 stock car anything is capable. And if it's a challenge you want then I would want something a bit different than the "norm"
Already gone green with envy Will be an awesome buildI have posted this before. I want me one of these but there is absolutely no chance of finding or buying one.
So I am building my own replica along with a few other little toys which is why the cave extension is so important. Toys all need laying out on their own build tables so if there is a hold up on one I can do bits to another.
Its going to be a mongrel on later chassis etc, got the chassis, running gear, 302 V8 engine and gearbox, complete bodyshell with doors and glass etc. Its butchery of a classic but I dont care
cant you do the old, buy a rotten old registered kit car off ebay and pinch the logbook trick that everyone used to do to get around having it tested.
I have no interest in ways to avoid the IVA.
I'm not sure I really see what the issue with the IVA is.
There is a manual that is both the testers procedures and the builders requirements.
Follow that to the letter and it's job done.
If I miss something or something is not up to standard then fail the car and make me remediate the issue.
I'd much rather go through a couple of stringent tests and have a safe and fully legit car at the end of it that not.
I'm not sure I really see what the issue with the IVA is.
done mine in 8 weeks from start to finish had all the parts to start otherwise any longer and id have lost interestDo it, but bear in mind that the last 5 % of the build will take 95% of the time
Been there done it, and got the t shirt
it was burnt down in a day thoughNo rush, Rome wasn't built in a day!
