Second print of a prototype enclosure.
I added 45D snap off supports to allow the enclosure to be printed at 45 degrees, this allows all the overhangs to be nice and smooth.
These initial prototypes are just printed with cheap PET, later I will use PETG-CF.

As I don't use amy sticks I only used 44mm OD sink waste pipe in hard solvent weld plastic popped a removable twist to remove blanking plug on each end . The lids have an O ring seal in them
Solvent welded up five tubes and split the 200 pack of stick between them and wrote on the tube end caps in permanent marker what was inside , on both end caps .
That was 15yrs ago . Most tubes are empty but they all still smell of the solvent weld . The two remaining tubes of electrodes are still as good as the day as I put them in the tubes ( well it is to me & my limited stick welding exercises ) . If I had had the printer back then I'd have also blanked one end and used a screw cap end at the other end just like you have done .

Another airlock adapter for the lid of a 20 litre brewing bin. Currently CT1'd and waiting to set.
This for the parsnip wine. Noted an odd hollow atop the print but it shouldn't affect anything. I'll fill it with a smear of CT1. Just needs a hole drilled with a 35mm hole saw to fit.

Fishing rod holder screw cap by Willitbreak
For making a fishing rod holder.This is for an 80mm PVC drain tube.Should scale ok for different sizes. For me i just use one on either end of the pipe instead of an end cap.Added the end cap for use. Assemble with glue. Nice size for a 3 piece 11 footer.May the luck be with you.Did this in PLA...

Here we'd have have printed that like this I think, with the bit where the wheel is flat to the bed. If that slope is 45⁰ you wouldn't need to support it. You'd just need localised tower supports for the counterbored screw holes.

Why? Not a feature as far as I know. Plus the lights were off and there's currently a bug on the Web page I think where you can't turn it on via the Web page when a print is running. Besides I was busy with other things.

Broken the thermistor wires, they're only £20 off Amazon so I've ordered a new hot end, not worth messing about to be honest and I don't have the time.

If that is an Elegoo Carbon and you update the firmware and (possibly) the slicer it fixes that or has on mine.

My lad's X1C detects if things go awry and stops the print.
Is it an X1C though? Doesnt look like one to me.
