Thanks Ill get a propaneI wouldn't use mapp gas to do soft soldering, its too hot & its very easy to overheat the fittings & boil the solder & flux. You are better to use straight propane (black or red cylinders), they don't burn as hot & are much safer.
Its not that much hotter, just use a smaller flame. As you get older & your hands aren't as clever as they used to be and you don't like bending your back to use the chuck keys etc . Now is the time to make two chuck keys , 400 mm long with half inch sleeves of aluminum epoxied on the handles to make them 16 mm in dia & 250 mm from tip to tip .Needed a chuck key. After setting the dividing head, thought I might as well make spares.

Brake pipes, they must fit them on the car first and them put all the other gear in! not getting caught out this time so while its in the air im doing the lot! they havent done bad for 20 years
