Both towers/inner wings are starting to show a bit of rust, the paint/protection seems pretty poor in these areas, its even falling off the spot of the spotwelds!

A quick clean up and brushed a couple of coats of epoxy on, it could do with the arch liners coming off but that's not happening this time around

There's probably also an adjustment to move the door sideways, relative to the hinge pivot. It might be accessible behind the hinge cover, or at the left hand end of the hinge in the photoMajor niggle fixed today, I adjusted a UPVC back door that had sagged so it couldn’t be locked. Also adjusted the latches to stop the draughts and rattles when closed.
5 minutes to lift the hinges using adjusters concealed in the hinges - after 5 days trying to find an Allen key to fit
Latches are metric, hinges are imperial

TIL licensed taxi drivers are exempt from wearing seatbelts while conducting taxi duties and the vehicle is exempt when transporting paying passengers. I always assumed they sat on their seatbelts as a fashion statement (and obviously to stop the seatbelt buzzer).dont know how i never got pulled...its like i am seat belt exempt and have been for 10 years (long story) and i have never been stopped once in 10 years driving without my belt, even all over Europe![]()
To stop the buzzing i just click in a singular buckle i cut off a set of old belts..TIL licensed taxi drivers are exempt from wearing seatbelts while conducting taxi duties and the vehicle is exempt when transporting paying passengers. The way some of them drive round here, I'm surprised they don't have to wear 5 point harnesses.
This cover is secured in place by the security screw you show on the hinge pin area. Fully undo this and the cover will come free to expose the lateral adjuster. For lateral adjustment of your door you will need to remove the plastic cover to the hinge plate secured to the door frame.
After adjustment and if you are on your own use a length of string or zip tie to pull cover into place whilst securing it with the screw. This cover is secured in place by the security screw you show on the hinge pin area. Fully undo this and the cover will come free to expose the lateral adjuster.
Could be that the axle pin is cammed and lateral adjustment is through that, ours are like that! There's probably also an adjustment to move the door sideways, relative to the hinge pivot. It might be accessible behind the hinge cover, or at the left hand end of the hinge in the photo
