Nearly completed refurbishing a lever operated compound slide. Need to make a couple of adjustable limit screws, order some 2ba screws for the gibs, and make some locking thingies for the gib strip screws.
When it came to me it was in pretty bad condition with every sliding surface and nearly every screw seized. Here is the cut off slide that I haven't yet done anything with...

Springs 
been running around with a pair of broken ones for a while but its MOT time
Relatively pain free so far
Both towers/inner wings are starting to show a bit of rust, the paint/protection seems pretty poor in these areas, its even falling off the spot of the spotwelds!
A quick clean up and brushed a couple of coats of epoxy on, it could do with the arch liners coming off but that's not happening this time around
Into the spring compressor that I bought for £50 just in case a few years back
Jobs a goodun, pretty pain free and nothing went into orbit!
Had to kill an antiroll bar link to get it off
Just got to wait for me MOT slot now

Mine was the 24th so not as bad as that! my excuse is that its the 1st MOT ive had to do since I bought itgot my van booked in for friday MOT...only found out last week it had run out in april

dont know how i never got pulled...its like i am seat belt exempt and have been for 10 years (long story) and i have never been stopped once in 10 years driving without my belt, even all over EuropeMine was the 24th so not as bad as that! my excuse is that its the 1st MOT ive had to do since I bought it
