One last attempt, a new pressure housing and 30quid later...we have a reprieve from death row for the power washer.... sometimes you just can't resist the urge to fix stuff
Hairline crack in the outlet, tried a plastic welding job but had admit defeat and buy a new housing....
Managed to crack the inlet reassembling though but some epoxy and mesh sorted that

My house has traditional bitumen underlay from the 80's. <<<<<<The old type 1F, most 1F type felts have all rotted now coming from that era. Back in the day when "breathable roof spaces" where not even invented

UV light had degraded the existing bitumen felt at the ridge. Which meant in my scenario any rain water which could reach there would be straight into the inside of the roof.

So I used DPC strips that I had to hand when I was working on my roof over a weekend and added those to help redirect any water that might but should not get in there back onto the top of the existing felt below.

the ac stopped working in my merc c220.

this is a disaster, i cant have a mercedes with no a/c.!!!

not at all to mention it is also commanding the cooling fans on to max at all times...

the ac pressure switch is showing short to ground. the pressure reading in the ecu is about 6500bar :shock:

the command inhibit list shows pressure too high (go figure) and just to double check, the coolant temp is about the same as the oil temp.

ill be needing one of these then....

Got the shaft repair sleeve and new seal eventually on, bob the skidsteer is back operational!

Re-Articulated the lathe light to put the joint back in, brings the light forward to allow better illumination now I have altered the shield mounting.

fix confirmed, with a new pressure sensor in its reading 0psi and throwing a out of range code in the climate options, and no fault at all in the communication module (where it had stored the short/open circuit fault.)

its just cable tied up out of the way until i get a chance to get it vacuumed and recharged. you may wonder why i did that rather than wait until i change it to plug the new sensor in. well the fault code it causes makes all the cooling fans run flat out, which is bad, so stopping them running constantly was my main priority. getting the ac fixed is a secondary concern.

Engine mounts on my little Punto .
But I'm been an idiot as I've seized a bolt using the impact.
I now have to try to remove it on tomorrow using the 3/4" and attempt to chase threads.
1 to 10 idiot I'd say 9 because I have the right size (M12x1.5) tap
1 to 10 probability to have success removing it, I'd say 2
I'm almost tempted to wedge some spacers in between the bolt head and the Mount and fix it in place by tacking it with the mig welder.
Cause I'm pretty confident I've seriously messed up this time

Had a Chiropractor appt on Thursday after work, but managed to get back onto the roof yesterday.
My back was giving me some jip, but I managed to get the end Weatherboard refitted, and cut, creosoted and fitted the Fascia Boards, AND the "Felt Trays" that @roofman brought to my attention.

So, apart from a bit of battening left at the ridge to do, I think it's ready to slate. Finally!

(I'd be on there today, but my back is in bits again. It's as bad today if not worse than it was when I hurt it a month ago. Really not happy today, I'd hoped to have been back to normal by now, but instead I'm no better off)

No on the condenser. Moot anyway as I already bought one from my merc dealer. Its currently cable tied to the pipe to make the ecm happy and take the fans out of always on mode.

I replaced the final drive gaiter that caught fire on my 1150gs.
I also replaced the brake friction pad that had detached from its metal backing- causing the heat that managed to start the fire…

Friends forklift sprung a leak, and of course they know that I can change tractor tyres. So there was a job for me.

However my bead breaking hammer was lost years ago, so I made an ugly one.




That worked a charm, didn't take long to break the bead.

Heres the beasty,a stomil polish tyre that hasn't been made since the 90s it didn't have a great deal of bend In it.







Of course it rained and everything was filthy

Dog is 12 months old and has pretty much stopped chewing. Except Mrs' laptop charger. Luckily the LV side.
I'll do a better repair later, don't think this would pass a PAT test.
