How's the back holding up?
IffyHow's the back holding up?
Roofing is much easier with a helper.Iffy. It's OK ish, not too bad when warmed up, but harder going as range of motion / stiffness intrudes. It's not as bad as it was for sure - the worst is as soon as you rest or stay in one position it stiffens up. As you can see - I didn't achieve a heck of a lot, but felt knackered by the time I finished & packed up.
I wish I understood your postRoofing is much easier with a helper.
Did you use sarking felt where it drops into the gutter? You need lats at the bottom too, assume you know, but if you dont!
The felt is the bottom row of membrane that hangs into the gutter, as the membrane rots if its wet all the time. You put a second batton on at the bottom too carry the half slate, the full slate then sits over the top nailed to an adjacent lat.I wish I understood your post!
Does that answer your question?
I've never heard of Sarking Felt, nor know what you mean by Lats at the bottom.
(It is arranged so it has half-slates inverted at the bottom, which sit on the wall plate & overhang by 2" to allow for a fascia board & guttering if that helps? The fascia board sits proud of the rafters so with the battens on should let the slates sit properly).

Yeah, looks good. The bottom bar is an electric heating element, hopefully callout engineer checked that hadn't failed rather than just defrosting the hole?!
Ah. No, I've only got the std membrane. The felt is the bottom row of membrane that hangs into the gutter, as the membrane rots if its wet all the time. You put a second batton on at the bottom too carry the half slate, the full slate then sits over the top nailed to an adjacent lat.
Maybe it's ok to assume that if it's creating puddles it must be melting the ice. I think the parts are make/model specific as there are lots of shapes/sizes - I replaced one about 5 years ago and had to order it via fridge model number.I guess that testing it may be the next step if it continues to wee everywhere. Is thd heater a generic part or tend to be make/model specific?
I bet you did!Iffy. It's OK ish, not too bad when warmed up, but harder going as range of motion / stiffness intrudes. My little trusty 3/4" impact did die at the end of February maybe
Anyways it was months thrown in a corner waiting to be checked to understand what went wrong with it, after dieing during action, it just stopped working while disassembling a big excavator hammer loosening 55mm head bolts.
Having to replace the axles on my car I think I might need it to break free the 36mm nuts but since it was broken I've opened it up and as I've imagined a connector got loose due to the very high vibrations (it has a 2kg hammer spinning really fast), so I've reconnected tested and made sure it wouldn't get loose again easily I've glued it in place and reassembled.
It was an easy fix but I was little bit scared about something else just blew off.
That's because the eBay seller disappeared and other yofidra sellers don't have any replacement parts.
And Makita parts on AliExpress are extremely expensive and not even the exact right replacement component for my specific clone model.
Anyways it's now operational again so I can use it on my little Punto or to cause a little earthquake
