Cargo are semi decent aftermarket alternators if you can find one of them. The oil leaking into the alternator is also maybe part of the problem?
the front of the center two floor beams are finished and all the floor cross braces added, and the tailgate is nearly done...another job nearly completed with scraps of steel... robbed a bit out of dads workshop... im sure he'll be ****** when he finds out tomorrow.....

Or today.I will confess, you did have me for a minute, no bolts on the floor, thanks.
Put washing powder on it to soak up the oil. Brush that up with a dustpan and brush and then add more washing powder and boiling water and brush with a stiff brush. Works well.I have had that front bumper on and off that many times now I just need to stare at it and off it comes. Truth be told, I got that fed up with crappy rusted fasteners when I put it back on the last time that I bought a few packs of new fasteners and it made life so much easier. Not having to re-use shagged out plastic inserts and the thing staying where I put it as I went to the other end to adjust it was just great and I have plenty left over for this time.
My big problem is going to be Mrs NW when she gets her Sherlock Holmes kit out and sees the big black oil stain where the old alternator is, thats when the trouble is going to start. Expect a thread on how to deal with that pretty soon.
(the oil stain, not the boss, I will have to cope on my own with her)
Just wind them in from the back . . .Or today.
124 M8 bolts to fit
Remove one, replacement was a M8 left hand thread.
I discovered a similar problem with the callipers I use when reloading. Tried two batteries both the same….I just putit down to agezimersWell yesterday really, replaced the battery in something and it wouldn't work, cue much muttering and mumbling, I had bought decent batteries after all:

I suppose they have to put the sticker "Do Not Eat" somewhere. As if getting them out of the packaging isn't enough.
nearly there. just a bit of paint and finish the tailgate.the front of the center two floor beams are finished and all the floor cross braces added, and the tailgate is nearly done...

That hose routing is fairly standard for Land Rovers although they're normally steel to provide some cooling effects by being clamped to the chassis.I like that.
Looks like a 3.2 Ranger belt which is 8 foot long and a pig to replace
hubs madenearly there. just a bit of paint and finish the tailgate.
