Yea I can see it but as you have said lots of carp but not much detail

And I'm sure they have missile the laptop as a gaming laptop but later in the add can be used for gaming

I'm not a tech specialist I know know pcs nd laptop but not my every day work but I'm sure the g card in there is capable but not designed for gaming but probably better than a basic office laptop

Or as earlier in the thread as for the serial number so you can cheak the website that shoukd give you more detail but as they are selling they should be able to give you this basic stuff

And note the 194 us not 32 gb ram that us 90 extra ish to have 32gb so 280 money

I asked that and he confirmed it was with 32 gig. This is the type of thing that puts me buying of these people. Its only a few miles away so I might have a drive over later in the week when I am baby sitting.

I think its a not the organ grinder but the word I can no longer use in case someone takes it the wrong way, who is responding on facebook.

I found a local place that sells loads" of engineering stuff. steel price is excellent but you need an account to see the catalogue. I went over and its very large. strange business model in that they do a lot of taking orders for items and then source the material and farm out the work. Like sub contracting I suppose.

SO things are not always when they seem I guess.

To be honest its CAD and video stuff I want it for. Also to move around controlling 3D printers and CNC laser etc. Although to be honest once I am a bit more sorted they will all have their own controlling PC or laptop and they will run on low spec crap.

I purchased my HP over 10 years ago so Max its cost is 85 per year. Great value but finding 850 (or more for a faster gaming laptop) is not going to be easy.

Typical me trying to cram everything into one and probably not "needing" it really.
Cura has peed me off as I spent 3 weekends getting close but not close enough.
I should just realise I only need latest cura on my Desktop at home rather that short term "want" in the caravan at weekends.

i cant see why your faffing around with ebay or facebook when you know its full of scams

theres no comeback no money back if its not as what it seems like

on that last comment of yours it appears like your still deciding which way you want to go so what do you need the laptop for as my definition is for traveling and watching vids and playing odd games on it though i can do without the games for a week or 2 and play smaller games instead to pass the time

as goes for my pc's i have 3 all connected up to one screen via a switcher that means i can search net do as i please switch to other pc and play games on it and the other is a back up machine in your case it would be your cnc and printer unit with cad software thats disconnected from the net

that gives me 2 machines i can upgrade really well with a gcard on them simple ssd hard drive as they arnt rewriting all of the time like the online machine

then i create a basic image of each machine using acornis and put it on the back up machine hard drive just incase any of them errors and i need a fast reinstall of them 6 mins ive clocked it for back up and using them

as goes for buying a laptop im going for money back if faulty and a guarantee

so its either a second hand laptop shop cex or the cash generator or its laptops direct for me

its at this point i have to decide what i want the machine for for me its video films and simple games as i only need it for traveling and a holiday

thats when i tried windows 10 and hated it but it connected to the big screen and allowed internet usage and simple games yeah they was others

as an eg son likes playing games had some money so said id like a better graphics card so bought one on testing the score was 3680 on 3d mark with the new card installed was quite a jump over has old card as that was benching at i think was 1800 or
bear in mind the new to him card cost £200 plus for it alone

i bought another pc as a media mechine quite cheap non working only needed a windows full install from scrach as the old one would not reset

found it was a i5 2,9 ghz ish 8th gen with ddr 4 ram

the old pc was a amd 8 core 3 .ghz somthing with ddr 3


the score went from 3680 to 6600 with the same new graphics card score because the archecture and internal cash etc where much faster because of newer technology

yes buying from a high street means you can ask questions have a play and still haggle a bit and its there ready to buy not weeks with out a mechine

cex and cash converters do offer a guarantee though ebay is paypal through your card and you only have so long to find a fault

with a gaming laptop its going to be hammered so will have been over heated at some time

my children went on there own pc and i had it set for none adult content as much as id installed a keylogger onto it

my advice stick them on a desktop of there own when visiting somewhere you can keep an eye on as i had to do to make sure they was safe

that time will come where you need to do it

It may be of interest to you or maybe not? But the compromise to me was to buy a 2ndH desktop (very cheap) Lenovo M73 i7 4+4. Set it up as a server and then bought a reasonable 2ndH laptop Lenovo G505 (now replaced) as a thin client. Any heavy rendering or long winded graphics are done on the server. Laptop is used for lighter applications. Using a desktop means cheap large drives. I've got a Raid1 with 2 x 2Tb drives. Plus expandble. I put a 2nd Nvidia Quadro in it for a render programme that demands it. All cheap. There's a glut of 2ndH computers now going cheap.
Laptops are difficult if not impossible to expand. This one is a Lenovo Z50-75 with 1 Tb SSD and AMD A10 quadcore.

I already have a number of desktops that are quick enough for what I use them for.
The laptop was found to be wanted when I took one of my 3D printers to the static caravan.
I like the laptop as I use a mobile phone for Internet connection in the caravan and using team viewer is fine for most things but at times it's data hungry.

Long term I have been authorised to get a new laptop for my 65th Birthday BUT my wife does not understand how much bills have gone up and substantial expenditure has to be curtailed.
I know that my HP pavilion has been great value at 85 quid per year but I don't need a laptop that badly.
I feel a decent second hand one will be sufficient so I am taking my time to source one.

if you got a small space a desk top unit are cheap to buy as most dont want the large unit

and as there hdmi out puts they plug in to most tvs now so you only need to space for the box a wireless keyboard with inc mouse pad and your ready to go
