pc problem loading windows 10

you just seem to want a bees knees machine i can see the point of it but your wasting some money

as goes for ssd i wouldnt trust anybody elses hard drive id rather install my own and then i know how old it is

compared to it being hamered unknown on its life expectancy

in end your going to pay through the nose for it or better known as bid like a fool because its got this and that like everyone else

as goes for memory thats the same even that can be upgraded from a lower spec

yea but the last bloke could have bid £300

but on the older laptops the batterys are mosly not inside the unit and are removeable so does normaly make them cheapest £20 notes or so or even as cheap as a £10er if your lucky

Update on my HP laptop.
I finally got Cura running but unbelievably I can't install Lightburn for my lazer.

I seem to remember that I had the same problem when I installed it previously....and somehow I did get round it. But by god this laptop is testing my patience.

What's really knarking me is these morons who list.items in a certain area so they come up in a search BUT when you ask where collection is its miles away


This guy is actually in Birmingham and he has a warehouse.

I got that part sussed mate. But it's made identifying a decent local one for collection much harder.

I would have stopped looking by now but sadly I can't install lightburn for my lazer on my old laptop now ....aaarrrgggg.

I'm typing this on an HP X360, which is now on its fourth screen (all replaced under warranty, but only after several hours spent complaining on web chats).

sifted one without the wrong address. sadly its a little low on cpu specs.

I think I have decided to get a Dell if I need another. But I will keep my eye open for a 17 inch at the right price and spec.

However I finally managed to get both Cura and Lightburn working. Bit of a trek but got there in the end. lol
So a new laptop is not 100% essential quickly now.

Hp i5 10th gen 8g ram 500 ssd 1650ti graphics

It's now got 16gb ram as I nicked the extra ram I put in my old laptop as ive got to sell it and won't get any more for it its only 9 months old my old one aprox if you look at today uve acquired thread on the fourm on the brew room you will see pic of my new one and the old one

New laptop was 200 the boke listed it as 300 but I offered 200 as its 2 years old but it looks new and the battery holds good charge

just stumbled across this thread...spent the last 5-6hrs trying to get my garage based PC to come to life. Its a non starting Windows 10 thats been sitting idle for +2years, no booting, automatic fix loop, BSOD, had it all. Finally opened it up fiddled with a few plugs....anyway Ive come to the mechanical based conclusion its dead, as I cant see any life on the monitor anymore since I opened it .
Im looking for recommendations for a garage/workshop based laptop sub £150, sub £100 would be ideal. Secondhand. Not too worried about battery life etc as it'll be plugged in when used. It'll be used for workshop based tom-foolery, browsing YouTube how-to's, the occasional car based diagnostic software VCDS, get covered in oily fingers, dust, grime etc, etc.
