I would have thought the headstock would bolt straight back on, assuming it wasn't originally shimmed and be lined up with the ways?
I'd be interested to know what they did with the saddle, assuming they machined the way slide areas square and flat then built up with Turcite..... I can imagine that would benefit from scraping to obtain 'squareness' to the axis (I think the idea is to angle the back a fraction of a degree to the headstock).
