That passing of the spanner would be interfering with my roll up lolI know. What is spencer thinking???
I’d stand back with a brew and watch him struggle with it lol.
Maybe pass him a spanner with my spare hand if he asked really nicely.
Good point. That passing of the spanner would be interfering with my roll up lol
I cannot think of anything worse than a pallet truck to move a lathe like a 140, Lathes are very top heavy & palletr trucks have wheels very close together at one end, this means you are liable to have the lathe topple over. Skates also are iffy unless the floor is absolutely flat, Safest way is pipe rollers If the ground is soft stck a couple of scaffold boards down & the rollers can roll on that.
With a pallet truck you have to be careful when going round corners, that is for sure. If on a pallet however you will just be jacking it up enough for the pallet to clear the floor so even going round corners and the truck wants to tip it is ony going to be able to tilt a fraction of a degree before the pallet grounds.
Did you hurt ya footDunno what all this fuss is about.
I seem to remember drop kicking mine across the back seats
thats because we could get your lathe in the chuck of oursDunno what all this fuss is about.

True. Engine hoist can be a b1tch to use. But I can move all my stuff with one. On my own and on this slope concrete drive. When I did mine we moved it over a loose, old parquet floor with an engine crane and that played havoc with the wheels, the crane had a mind of its own! Then asphalt and a metal grid, nightmare. My place has polished concrete and full concrete surrounds with no lip on the roller doors, makes life ever so easy!
