On the cheapest service there is a 2 day window for collection although in 95% of cases they do collect on day one. All depends on workload - obviously getting busier now for Christmas. Also seeing a milling machine on the system they will want to get the best tail lift vehicle they have which can cause delays.
Delivery should be Friday/Monday but the depot in your area will call you first to arrange. It is a non guaranteed service remember. There is a next day which is guaranteed but not advised for complex jobs.

OH one bit of advice. Not just for us but ANY delivery company. When you sign for it CHECK IT FIRST!!! If there is damage and you don't state that on the proof of delivery then no claim can be made!!! If there is shipping damage you MUST write DAMAGED on it. Writing unchecked will not work.

Missing items are almost impossible to claim for - they ought to be secured first. Try finding something like a handle when you ship 15,000 pallets a night!
Usually there is a proper piece of paper to sign. Hopefully of course there will be no damage.
Remember we are talking shipping damage - so many people try it on these days. Gets harder and harder to run a business when everyone under the sun is trying to rip people off.
We once shipped an engine to France - the bloke paid good money for it on Ebay. A few weeks later the bloke is saying he is going to sue us. The pistons and conrods were missing. He seemed to think our driver had stopped on the side of the road - taken the engine apart - then put it all back together again.
It never entered his head that the bloke living in the caravan we had collected from may have had something to do with it. I sent him a link to the collection point on Google Street View - funnily enough we never heard any more.

How far is it to your CU, and is your garage attached or detached.

The garage is detached and there's probably no more than 5 meters of cable but it goes through the wall, into a piece of PVC pipe into the garage. I'm assuming this should be replaced with SWA buried under the path so it would probably need about 10 meters.

You don't have to bury SWA, you can take it overhead if it's easier. I would go with 4 or 6mm as that would give you the option of using a fan heater as well to stop your fingers going white!

Depends on what size cable you intend to use.

If it was buried 6mm² SWA will carry 53A so a 50A MCB would be suitable.

Could someone please tell me the metric calculations for feeds and speeds please. I've got this link but it's all imperial and I'd just like to know both. The calculator in the link wants to know the feed per inch and the surface speed, how do I know, for a given endmill, what these should be?
