@JonnyAlpha https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/254290858180 sorry i forgotI used Jotun 87 on my rear subframe and the underbody of my classic mini. Had a brake fluid leak, it took the top coat off but did not touch the epoxy!! Great stuff. I am looking for some more as I need to do a front Subframe but can only find the Jotun 90 and in 5L (way too much for what I need and about £70!! I only need about 1Litre.
Even the wire brush makes a mess and it.ends up melting and collecting where the brush isintSharp wood chisel will take the worst of it off then a wire brush in a grinder for the rest

It's not proper stone chip. It is 3m under seal great stuff once it's on not so great to remove.See link to post where I removed the factory underseal with a wood chisel.
If it's the proper stone chip, like you describe, it should peel off.

Yes the 3m stuff has been on 5 years now pretty hard yes. I will try a gear gun and scraper or chisle later and report back. Good idea thanks guys.
I tried thinners and a scraper it helped a littlePetrol and a scraper/chisel.
