No, I don't quite happy with a 2 litre diesel, assume it's got a turbo, no idea.

A result then, although as said, I would be inclined to give it another flush and drain, to dilute some of the carp in the torque converter.

I have seen some grubby and burnt ATF before, but that looks like old engine oil. Does it smell burnt at all ?

This is another reason why I think lifetime fill of oils is ridiculous

It didn't smell burnt, no metallic muck in it, just filthy, and an insufuissant amount, (spelling?)

Will check grade of ATF we have at work and reflush, can't do any harm.

All this ATF, Dexron codes, I seem to have concluded, Dexron 3 is compatible, but not Dexron 2.

Dexron 3 seems to be N402 / ATF 402 ?

Can anyone confirm this, I've found 10 litres for €33.

That will at least give the box a good clean out. Flush it then put the new stuff in, cross fingers.

Yep, but no, we have Motul ATF, in 20 litre cans, the last one which is now empty, corresponds, Dexron 3, but the current can we're on is Dexron 2, which doesn't apparently, I'm still scratching my head.

Though I'm pretty sure I'm just going to order 10 litres of Dexron 3, unless anyone has a good reason not to.
