Will that be the chicken? How about a reheated Christmas dinner and a bottle of cider?
A few weeks ago, in the run up to this silly season.
I contacted a Wooden Railway manufacture about getting spares and repairs details.
They were very generous and sent me pegs, guilds and cutters to repair broken track..
This is an example of our repairs.

These had the male parts broken off.
The guide allows you to clamp on and with a supplied flat bit drill out the retaining pins.
Then with the shaped sanding lack a clean up of the wood, before a wax.

Theses straight track were salvaged from longer lengths. Placed into a Jig we made. Cut down to a smaller length and the female lot cut into the new end.
They are to the manufacture specifications. As they were very kind to give us the details.
NO! see my earlier post. Not sure whether to run a very fine bead between it and the original casing
Yes they would.
I would of used shorter ones. Or pop rivetsI'd snip the ends of the screws off.

Looks like a "Wheeee" cover to me. As in, fling it over your shoulder and say "Wheeee".I figure where this plastic cover goes...
@Onoff there is a picture of that piece of plastic fitted in a previous post of yours. Replacing a magnetronIt's all I had in a sorted box rather than sift through the "to be sorted one day screw box".
Anyway, taken out just now and replaced with pop rivets.
