Silver soldered a bandsaw blade together.

Can you keep a record of what you cut with it , how thick and what type of material you cut to give us all an idea of how worthwhile such an exercise is . Did you do a magnetic trace on the rest of the blade to see if any micro cracks were present ?

I never do, do a test cut and see.

I use an old Tyzac bandsaw to cut firewood. I quite often silver solder the blades back if they just break.(normally 'cause a old log or something has jammed). They last ages.

Would be a pretty slim record lately Never done a magnetic trace ( nor know how to do one)

I'm sure you know already, but when you cut your toenails, cut straight across, not around like you might do a fingernail.

We were taught that by our games teacher and 60 years on having followed his instructions I have never had an ingrown toenail.
