Yesterday was a:
"not a good day"

But I id get a lot off nice stuff.

A Good member put this aside for me.

Mains switch cable.


Plus his better half got this, what I was more than pleased to use.

Taking some advise from brewery historic site.

Stage one, clean with warm soapy water and rise well.

Stage 2. Fill with cold water for 2 hours. Drain.

Stage 3, fill with our finest ale, olace on a cold stone or to the line in cold water.

Stage 4. Enjoy.

Plus, the member liberated from me some Imperial spanners.
The surplus have now came home to me.
Cleaned!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The rest of the contents were a mix of what I collected from a number of Charity displays in Wotton Basset.
Plus what my Lil friend and I found in Second hand shops.
So they all were bundled into 2 box's

A Nice, but well used Bolster chisel, a Coal Hammer, Draper Imperial socket set and a home made scrapper.

It is in the box.

The Oh dear.
The Lil Human did not understand why we all found it funny when she called it that.

We did have tracks, but they soon fell to bits when this was played with.

A set of VR stamped post scales and weights.

Record 24" stillsons.

Left for me at home.

Shame I was not home.


I was house sitting and when we came home to my friends house.

They had acquired this.

Their Landlord had put a new fence up for them.

- a Chicago Pneumatic Vertical Grinder,
- a Toyo 9" Angle Grinder,
- 2 Ingersoll pencil grinders,

For the princely sum of £58

It became a Sunday morning thing, went to the local street market and seek for cool things.
Today I've filled the little punto trunk with just a single item.
This huge 2HP bench grinder, cast iron body, roughly 80cm end to end and probably about 80kgs.

It was auction lots, need to pick them up when I get back from the middle east in two weeks time.

From the listing, the tools are apparently "tested, working", but I would assume need cleaned and possibly a service.

The auctioneer was clear that the controls on the compressor are shot (always on when powered up, blows off continuously once it reaches max pressure) but it runs fine.

I am unsure how to use it TBH:

- I could plum in the two compressors in parallel and control them off the one pressure sensor in my existing compressor...
Or
-I could interconnect the two receivers,
Then
- Use the second compressor to build a PTO driven compressor for the Landrover... Which would end up being capable of delivering a hell of a lot of air (as it's effectively a 100kW engine driven unit at that point).

Already got it out, two 25 years old guys friends since their birth got it out in few seconds.
Actually me and my friend/brother as we consider ourselves brothers because we grown up together we call our parents dad and mom too even if they are not

I find myself reaching for these pretty much every job I'm doing at a car. The precise and strong grip is very good. Indeed my favourite tool now

I might well do that...

But if I set out with that intention it will immediately turn into a "when I get round to it" project, and thus never actually happen.

Having a totally portable engine driven compressor that "just clips onto" one of my vehicles would be very handy though...

Ingersoll sells the T30 series compressors as being capable of 100% duty cycle at the rated capacity, and it has unloader valves too, so can be kept rotating unpressurized when there's no air demand.

If I was to increase the engine RPM to push it well above rated capacity, it would tolerate it pretty well due to the design, but eventually start to overheat and blow-by without external cooling...

However I really can't see myself needing to push it to deliver that kind of air volume in a mobile setting... The 2430 size compressor is rated for 8.6 CFM @ 175 psi, which equates to 111 scfm, which is enough to run half a dozen angle grinders at once, or a small sandblaster.

Thanks we picked it up Sunday afternoon and there was a second bike with it, not as nice but it does have the correct exhaust
