Twice, unrelated to turning. First time was butterfingers dropping a block of brass between the bedways. Second was when the power hacksaw castors decided to do a Colin McRae style turn and I grazed the edge of the chip tray.
So that meant a complete respray again?![]()

The new anvil works well. Work holding was an interesting challenge. I desperately need some new lathe tools. One piece of HSS is limiting my capabilities
Can't recommend highly enough the carbide insert tooling on Banggood. @doubleboost reviewed them on his youtube channel & that convinced be to buy some for my ML7. They transformed my turning, no faffing about sharpening HSS, stick in a new insert & away you go.
Did you ever put oil in either the gearbox or headstock? If you did i'm curious how much each took
