Like my Bosch quick change hole saws, but had a few good ones different brands and nice to have a choice not to buy the Bosch cutters if they don’t have the he size I want.

Hadn't seen those adaptors, now off for a search to find a price. They look ideal, I like the Bosch quick change but have lots of standard cutters.

Have used them at work and do like them alot but just cant justify them at home also.
If you can get them for sensible money it's a handy bit of kit.

Aquired on friday (although no pics at this stage as they are all dotted about)

a trio of yellow lighting solutions.

All of them are damaged in someway (the Peli and Ritelite are ex-speedy hire (one lot £29) the Exin ex-travis perkins hire (£48)) Total cost £77 including all charges


The downsides, Pelilight is dead on arrival, had a bit of experiances with these, so I opened it up, took out the battery and connected it to my smart charger. Charger says it is fine, this leads me to the normal issue, fuse is blown. The charging port was pulled out so with a new one of those in my pile of random stuff I replaced that. So that was the Pelilight working once more.

Ritelite, nothing major just a dead battery, have a number of those in stock so I changed that one over, the Bulbs in the system is somewhat is crap so Ill be replacing the head with a small led unit.

The Exin had a dead battery and is missing a ratchet section but that wont take long to replace when I get a chance to remove the good one and messure it up for a go on the laser cutter.

So for a total of approximatly £130 (including cost of batteries) I have ended up with over £1500 worth of lights (going on new price of course)
Seems a fair deal to me, sometimes you do get a bargain on online auctions

....Nothing fancy but a nice looking Pulsar watch off FB Marketplace for £25 which will do me very nicely for work.
Best thing is it was less than 1/2 a mile away.

A badaptor, can run whats left of my Ryobi collection on my Bosch batteries





Some arc burn, had me baffled as to how I managed that then realised I was trying to teach my self how to do TIG horizontal butt weld in the vertical position (2G/PC I think its called) and ended up kneeling on the floor and looking up to do it as it was the most comfortable option. I had taken off my fleece and the top popper on my welding overalls is broken



And a new pair of trestles, my old ones were flimsy jobbies from one of the cheap shops but they have lasted about 10 yrs, wanted something a little better

Just the speakers, I've had the amp years

Swmbo deemed my floor standers inappropriate when I moved here and they have been in the loft ever since, saw these for a good price and had to have them

All fed from this tiny dac, was going to spend much more but this one has rave reviews and it certainly delivers

I'm very very happy with the sound, they dont have the bass of floorstanders or a 15" behind a bass scoop but the depth and clarity is amazing, considering they were £120....

Currently still a bit tight but all speakers break in over time

I could waffle on but I'm no audiophile, I just like music to sound good, maybe a £250 usb lead will improve it further

Just 2 inputs to the passive crossover, the only place the HF and LF connect is the input so separating them is easy

I only do it because I have 4 outputs on the amp, I wouldn't bother otherwise

You run one set of amplifier speaker outputs to the low frequency drivers and the other set to the high frequency ones.

Lower frequency signals are heavier then high frequency ones so they naturally sink to the bottom of the cables. That's why the bass cones are always underneath the treble cones in speaker cabinets.

Bi wiring takes this one step further by separating them at the amplifier end.

They're slower too so when bi-wiring you need to use shorter runs of cable for the low frequency drivers so both signals reach the speakers at the same time.

Yesterday I stopped by a charity recycling place called " Too Good To Waste " where I got a New two basin sink, six used plastic organizer boxes with four drawers in each, and a Laurel & Hardy boxed DVD set; all for £30.00, then went to Lidl and acquired three pair of tool holders for my roll cab at £2.99 for each pair, which was half price. Even though the sink was missing the attachment clips, it was a bargain at £20.00

First use of a trolley come saw horse. Save hand balling the timber to the rear of the house then having to stack it to cut. Nice to not have to bend down to stack and cut. Back was very happy.

Yeah, lucky day. The sink is just the configuration I wanted for our house rebuild. It had an IKEA sticker and paperwork with it, so when my Wife checked on line the price was £209.00 , so cost us less than 10%.

I see, so one input has a high pass filter and connects to the tweeter and the other has a low pass filter connected to the woofer. I was imagining the connectors went straight through to the drivers and you needed a separate crossover between the amp and the speakers (Or perhaps an active crossover before a pair of amps), that struck me as more audiophile (And expensive ).

I've been looking at speakers and amps a lot recently, I had my Sonos stolen and need something to replace it. I had been considering an amp/dac board for a Raspberry Pi and a pair of speakers off eBay, but... I've got a 15" Wharfedale driver under my bed waiting for a cabinet, so maybe a DAC+DSP board with two extra output channels and software defined crossover for the big woofer, then I just need some amps. Oh how easily I get carried away.
