That's a good tip. I've checked online and no-one seems to have any in stock!
Thanks fizzy, I appreciate the offer. I'm in no hurry really, I'll order them online and just wait!https://www.arceurotrade.co.uk/Catalogue/Chucks/Wedges-Drifts/Chuck-Removal-Wedges
Ask them when they will be in.
Try the JT2 - might work but might be too big - if they do no grinding needed. They cheap enough.
If you are totally stuck you can borrow mine - can pop in post.
Also I acquired the biggest radial drill I have ever seen. Complete with all the original motor. Gearbox. Its massive. View attachment 186215
Nasty ,horrid and dangerous piece of kit Spencer, it would be much better to allow me to collect it for you and put it into safe storage

Bought a vice from arc euro trade. 90mm version. We'll see if I grow out of it...

Is it analogue or digital? In other words does it have pins or can you move the jaws and lock it in any position?
Mine come in from the side and a real pain to line up unless I am doing something very wrong. It has pins but moving the jaw seems easy and faster than a conventional vice from what I've seen.
Lol. I will post pictures when I get the hiab to move it...I made a space for itNasty ,horrid and dangerous piece of kit Spencer, it would be much better to allow me to collect it for you and put it into safe storage

How does it work?? I was thinking it may be along the lines of the Geradi vice I have, a hardened ball pushed down into recesses in the base by setscrews either side but looks like it is not.It has pins but moving the jaw seems easy and faster than a conventional vice from what I've seen.

Great for repetition but not for 1 off jobs.

Ah ok, thanks. From what I've seen you are supposed to use the allen key, loosen the screw a bit and lever the pin and it'll go below the notches for the pin and it can be moved and hooked into another notch. Maybe some are different but I thought these ones were all like this.
Please see this video for a demo:
ARGH!!!!! This forum is doing it's worst to prevent me copying a link with the timestamp!!!
