Yeah Pferd literally means horse. They mass produced farriers rasps as far back as the 1800s.Pferd also did a lot of rasps and other cutting implements for farriers, this is why their logo is a racehorse jumping through a loop (If I remember correctly). They now do all sorts of grinder attachments and suchlike for stock removal right up to final finish stuff.
