Today a friend I helped do a service on said "is this any use to you?"
As he presented a brand new 15kg roll of 0.8mm mig wire.

My mig only takes 5kg rolls so dont have any use for it.

Pferd also did a lot of rasps and other cutting implements for farriers, this is why their logo is a racehorse jumping through a loop (If I remember correctly). They now do all sorts of grinder attachments and suchlike for stock removal right up to final finish stuff.

Yeah Pferd literally means horse. They mass produced farriers rasps as far back as the 1800s.

next cbs is wednesday morning - but other side of wakefield, so needs an extra early start otherwise i end up sat in traffic for an hour.
cant remember last time i saw a "jumble sale"
second hand shops round here are full of ps2 games, worn out sofas, and power tools of dubious origin (which i wont buy on principal)
tool fairs? - few and far bewtween
charity shops - just the big names, overpriced draugr, and i dont have the time or inclination to go down the "save them for me for a donation" route - might be weeks before i could re-visit.

on the other hand. three or four good sunday morning cbses. two good sunday afternoon ones. plus the *really* good one on wednesdays.

Got myself a genuine Myking ground clamp. I bought one before but they sent me a cheap nasty fake one, terrible quality. This one is very nicely made though.

The Pferd burrs will be top quality. Strange to find them at a boot sale. they’re fairly uncommon brand.

Pferd burrs are excellent! I have a whole bunch i've pieced together by finding odd bargains here and there. Everything Pferd makes is top quality.

Got back from two weeks in Australia and came back with tools rather than trinkets...

An Empire (American made) 600 X 400mm framing square that only just fitted in the suitcase, backing pad and a variety of grades of abrasive disc, a Japanese angle thing - and some proper Australian-made outback boots - Redback.

Paid a visit to Bunnings there (they copied and arguably bettered B&Q) and it wasn't even one of the larger ones but was flabbergasted when my brother in law drove inside (he's a 'tradie' now having fallen victim to oil industry cutbacks a few years ago but would never go back - gets more job satisfaction working for a letting agent!) rather parking with the riffraff outside! My wife and I were wondering where he was parking as he just kept driving through the car park...

That's cheap! I've paid over 2 grand for turbos trade. And did a set of 5 injectors on a Volvo years ago, they were re-cons and total invoice was 2,200 .
