Where we live it's a daily occurrence....I've had every car hit outside my house at some point over the years.

What really gets me annoyed is when the pull up next to you...swing the door open and hit your car while you are sitting in it!

Lack of respect

The scuff on the wing tcut out, I'll have to just touch up the chip

Bumper took most the wack, that needs repainting

One neighbour smashed my wing mirror completely off the car and drove off....he hit it so hard it landed 8 feet from the car. Eventually I tracked him down (was easy....his car had a big blue mark down the side matching the blue of my car!)....gave him the option to pay for it to be fixed or I'd report the hit and run....he paid up!

If someone did this to me in the land rover, I don't think I'd be able to stop myself 'nudging' them with the bumper

I had someone park almost touching the towhitch on my Land Rover 90, I wanted to get in the back so just opened the rear door, it may have gouged an arc in the paint across his bonnet

Someone drove right into the back of the towbar in the disco, got out and he had a large dent.. didn't scratch the paint on the tow ball

I had some daft old bag drive into the back of the Surf once in Tesco's carpark, I didn't bother getting out. I just gave her a dirty look and drove off.

Snap!

Fitted 4 new tyres to the X358 before handing it over to youngest. Got change from £800 - just!
Two days later - TWO - into town.
Hmm doesn't feel right. I had picked up a screw in much the same place, but by the time I pulled over the side wall was trashed on the inside and unrecoverable even as an 'emergency' spare.

I hate 20" 35 profile rubber band tyres!

Plenty of Tesco rash too, despite always parking as far away from the entrance as possible.

Tyres can be repaired (or could) in that area by what is called a major repair. The bit is cut out & vulcanised. There used to be a commercial place in Gloucester that did it, but the tyre companies didn’t tell you ‘cos they could sell you a new tyre! A decent tyre company can get them done if you ask, but will probably have to send it away if there is no one local.

Tyres are one of the things I will just fork out on new, especially on a heavy fast car like this .. after all it is the only thing touching the road this actually came with 4 missmatched budget tyres, it was 'interesting' in the rain

The only thing cheap tyres are good for is burnouts

When I was younger my dad said never buy cheap toilet roll, meat or tools or tyres.

Definitely something going on in my area,
I also had a screw in the front tire but that was patchable.

My neighbors a few doors down had a screw in theres, and I've now seen two other peoples cars drive past on flat tires.

I suspect it's the builders just down the road throwing all sorts of crap into the road,I had to avoid a house brick they left in the middle of the road the last time they were here

Builders pick up trucks are the worst offenders, they throw all sorts in the buck which then finds it way out of any gaps. Just have a look in roofers trucks
