and in working order with prints and ink as well as some printing stuff as well

just had no use for it and no one wanted it so it got binned hadnt used in 2 years so it was gone

I have a p touch but it dont plug into PC sadly.

the one I have is good 'cos it plugs into the PC but uses plain paper labels, lots of different widths but not laminated so gets covered in oily finger prints, but cheap to run. Also seems to fade a bit in strong sunlight, fortunately I'm in Yorkshire so we don't see much of it

I had a load of rolled stickers a while back and I was going to offer them with some laminate as paper gets dirty too quick in the workshop but I cant find them now.

then you have to say sorry for having to do this as its health and safety rules we have to have trusted members that are willing to sign off there name for a safe machine for use otherwise we will have to close some use of tools down

no hump or ackward members after this as its down to a safety point of view for everyone

Our wood lathe refurbishment is nearing completion & the tutor, coordinator & myself have decided to add a key switch to it with only us 3 having keys. Part of the reason is to only allow responsible people to use it, the other is restrict use by one member who will hog the lathe if he gets a chance!

It would be fairly simple to add a key switch in to any machine, maybe something you should consider it.

I bought a Brother ptouch a few years ago, definitely a good investment although the tapes can be a bit dear unless they happen to use the same type at work

I use the compatible tapes from ebay, just as good as brother tapes & a lot cheaper. But don't leave them in a damp garage, they separate inside the cartridge!

1 New Chubb padlock with 4 keys, 2 extra.
1 Box of lockable 13amp plug guards. 10 in total.

The MIS shed is now only accessible to approved Key holders. and power tools can be locked off to prevent any more "Issues"

I have left my spare there with the correct stuff in it, in date as well, to treat the common accidents in a workshop.

A pair of 6" Wharfedale drivers appeared today.

It's just a project to play around with, I'm not expecting great sound quality.

A 15" in a transmission line cabinet could be interesting, an extra octave or two of bass...

Could be the size of a Victorian wardrobe though, and weight five times as much.

Picked up this extractor fan this morning. It's from a hood over a cooker in a restaurant so has a lovely coating of grease and mould on it. The plan is to use it over my welding area.

It really should have

I just stuck a plug on it to try it out and it does seem to move a good bit of air so should save me lungs a bit when plasma cutting stainless and galv.

I think the only issue will be every time there is some welding going on their will be a huge queue of drunks forming at the door looking for a kebab.

When we were allowed to have real fires in fire training. We used to set one of those type fans in a mock up duct.

The smell as it was warming up was very distinctive. When the flames had caught and burning well the flames out of the ducts was hot enough to melt the ally tubing.

DO NOT be tempted to do some toast. A blast of CO2 is off putting to say the least.

If you used the wrong fire extinguisher the resulting flame blast would drive home why you need the correct fire extinguishers.

Sadly now we find it very hard to have "Real fires" for fire extinguisher training.

It is all now death my view point.

The braddle was cleaned and now back in use.

Bradawl, not braddle. The clue is in the name of you dissect it - it’s used for making holes in wood for small nails (brads). You can get other types of awl, such as ones to make holes for leather stitching.
