another quandary. I had originally thought the window was portrait until I noticed the size of the cull. So now the gap is wider than expected and 2 beams now go right over the window. What sort of lintel would suffice and how would I fix it. I have one more course of blocks to lay on top and I had planned for a 4 x 4 beam to go across but not sure if this is strong enough.Well you'd get bored if all you were doing was block work mateWell the bdd news is that is "wet" all day so the bolts will get a bit of time. Shed put on hld until tommorow. Hope to get a lot more packed today depending on my injury...

Who me?hope your sitting that window onto a sill..not iff but when water gets into the frame moulding its designed to run through weep holes into the sill then exit away from the building
