Well when it's checked and found that I am not why does it keep checking? It doesn't, unless its updating or checking you are running a cracked copy

Hank? Are you sure your names not Marvin?
I only own what is a really good film and that i want it in a dvd disc
im same with my music and my games i want a disc not a digital copy i cant sell on when im bored with it or finished it
same with music too many albums are so rubbish i can only name 10 out of them that i like the full album
why should i buy poor stuff at full price ( 50.00 ) and never have the right to sell it
I cant even get second hand price value for it as game owners refuse the game on a secondary install
Well when it's checked and found that I am not why does it keep checking?
The paranoid andriodHank?
A disc? Can't remember the last time I used a disc or even had an optical drive on a pc
yes and you own nothing if the company decides to sell up or close down you lose everything
as the company dosnt have to open the game up to make it free for those that have bought games at full price
these pages will show what im on about the famous drm
https://opensource.com/life/11/11/drm-graveyard-brief-history-digital-rights-management-music
https://www.quora.com/How-do-I-sell-my-digital-game-that-I-completed
https://wccftech.com/steam-digital-game-resell-flies-in-face-eu-law/
drm was a way to stop copyright it wasnt used for that purpose it was for companys to go digital and make owners buy online and have no right to a resale value as you dont own the game/music, program
at what cost to the user buying games at full price all the time as no second hand market exists for the games /music, program
whilst you own nothing you can lose everything whilst i cant
What about the images I keep on my nas and cloud storage?
They are infinitely more reliable and easier to access than a bit of plastic
I can write an 8gb image to usb in under a minute that can be installed or run on any other machine
Keep your dvds with your coal fire imo
what do you do when your cloud server goes down can be down for weeks before they sort the problem what would you do then ?
8gb image to usb is down to usb been better by os or by the latest tech within usb been upgraded you certainly couldnt write that size file on a 2.0 usb unles you bought the faster speed 2.0 and then you wouldnt get that speed
I have the fastest usb stick in 2.0 I also have the fastest via 3.0 samsung usb stick
Every single option is better than a cd or dvd, i have zero need to use any hardware that will not boot from usb or sd
I got a cd with something I bought recently, I had a small chuckle before trying out the cd slot on my new shredder

I run and maintain my own cloud instance and an install of the aptly named ownCloud in that instance. It NEVER goes down, and if it did I have full management access from my phone.
Not if you are wanting to listen to Grace Potter in my little van it isn't. You either have a CD or you are singing to yourself.
can buy a board to fit a couple of SD cards instead
Could you enlarge on this please? I would be interested in not having a glove box full of CD's :-)
I have a very early iPod that has served me well but the battery needs replacing and I wouldn't like to have it in the van anyway, there is a small jack plug for audio in to the head unit.
